21.07.2011 – After completion and opening of the Emons secondary school in Kasika, Emons is supporting the Green Helmets organization in setting up and developing a further school in Kamituga. Construction work started in June.

To help finance the primary school in Kamituga, Wilhelm Könntgen, MD of Emons Spedition, presented Green Helmets chairman Rupert Neudeck with a cheque for € 30,000. The cheque was handed over at the turn of the year in the presence of the vice-governor of the South Kivu province, Jean-Claude Kibala, and Emons personnel manager Ms Christiane Bauer.

The primary school in Kamituga is attended by 1,040 children taught by 18 teachers.
