Emons boosts activities in Greece

14.12.2007 - Emons Spedition has been offering scheduled traffic services to and from Greece since September 2007. The new Greek service was made possible by extending the cooperation with "Supertrans SA", an efficient local logistics company.

With 30 departures per week currently, six Emons branch establishments nation-wide are organizing the growing flows of customers’ goods between Greece and Germany. To this end, Emons is dovetailing its activities with the Greece specialist "Supertrans SA", which has 10 companies in Greece with bases in Athens, Thessaloniki and Patras.
The background of this surge in activities in Greece is the growth potential, which is above that of euroland as a whole, and the associated rise in the demand for transport services. In terms of imports and exports, Greece’s main trading partner in 2006 was Germany (estimate by the German Office for Foreign Trade (bfai).
