Health: Emons again at its sporting best in 2011

21.07.2011 – Emons staff are back at the sports front this year: besides participation in the Thuringian Business Run and the HRS BusinessRun Cologne, there was the”Emons Cup” to play for in the Emons football tournament.

Seven Emons staffers joined in the Thuringian Business Run on 8 June 2011. Around 3,600 running enthusiasts attacked the five kilometres or so through historical downtown Erfurt.

Six running enthusiasts from Erfurt approach the finishing line.

Source: HRS BusinessRun Cologne.In Cologne, too, Emons sportspeople were out in strength. With a similar large number of local talent as in last year’s HRS BusinessRun Cologne, 30 members of the Emons Spedition staff were on hand in ten teams on 16.06.2011 to take part in Cologne’s biggest inter-company race. As in the past, the Emons runners had been prepared and trained for months for the business run by a coach.

Around 8,000 run-crazy employees from all trades and sectors tackled the 5-km stretch in Cologne’s Stadtwald park, true to the slogan: ”Run, rave, rock!”.

Besides the business runs, Emons footballers from 11 branch establishments competed on 18.06.2011 for the annual Emons Cup in the Waldpark Grünheide.

This year also saw a team representing Heckert-Solar AG, Chemnitz, and it won third place. The winner of the Emons Cup was the Dresden team, followed by the Berlin side.
