Emons takes over ABX Logistics´ Karlsruhe location
10.10.2006 - With effect from 1 September 2006, Emons Spedition took over the Karlsruhe branch of ABX Logistics GmbH. All business activities at the Karlsruhe facility are now being continued by Emons.
Emons´ new Karlsruhe location has favourable traffic links to the three international airports at Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Strasbourg. In its immediate vicinity is the supra-regional "Baden-Airport" at Rheinmünster-Söllingen/Hügelsheim. Thanks to the links to the A 5, A 8 and A 65 highways and the proximity of the French A 35, the cities of Frankfurt, Basel, Stuttgart, Munich, Ludwigshafen, Strasbourg and Paris are within easy reach.
With its activities commencing in Karlsruhe, Emons is adding to its dense logistics network and now has 23 branch establishments in Germany and 16 in the rest of Europe. Retention of the new location and most of the jobs there is assured.
Emons Spedition has closely-meshed and dovetailed networks in Germany, Europe and Eastern Europe. The focuses of its activities are on European and national road-bound network traffic, worldwide sea and airfreight as well as customer-centric logistics activities. In 2005, Emons posted sales revenue of more than € 200 million and currently reports a 20% order increase compared with the previous year.
