Transports for Belarus: By Emons Spedition daily to Minsk

04.10.2010 – Export traffic to Minsk provided the first regular groupage services organized by Emons East. Starting from the original one departure a week, the frequency has been increased to daily departures, which translates into very short runtimes.

The success of Belarus traffic is basically due to very comprehensive services and high quality levels. The closely-meshed and ground-covering German and European transport network enables us to handle shipments to the Minsk gate in 24 to 48 hours as a rule.

To ensure smooth border crossing into Belarus, a comprehensive advisory and information system has been installed. On this basis, daily status reports are sent to Minsk for all shipments once orders are placed. All customs documents are reviewed with the Belarus customs authorities before loading. This avoids the otherwise usual long waits at the border.

As a result, the runtime from departure terminal to destination terminal is a mere three to four days. In Minsk, unloading is in a bonded warehouse. Depending on the recipient’s request, the shipments can either be finally cleared or else transported in customs transit to another bonded terminal. In ground-covering operations, each location in Belarus can be serviced ex incoming terminal in one to two days. For this, a fleet of over 100 distribution vehicles is available. The overall runtime obtained in this way can hardly be outdone even by expensive air-cargo transports.
